Open Minnesota
Once submitted this letter will be sent with your signature to Attorney General Keith Ellison
I understand that your office is threatening legal action against Larvita McFarquhar for continuing to operate her small business.
Larvita is a single mom, small business owner, and youth gymnastics coach. The unfair and unnecessary shutdowns are crushing businesses like hers. Her cafe, Havens Garden, is opening up on Friday with an open-mic night. Larvita has been running her business safely while providing jobs and joy to the community, and Friday evening will be no different.
Larvita is courageously standing up for freedom: the freedom to earn a living and the freedom for all small businesses to operate without harassment or restrictions. She and all those she represents have this right.
Your office should stop all threats against Larvita and instead focus on charging actual violent criminals instead of charging upstanding citizens that contribute positively to the communities and the state.
It is outrageous that in a time where violent crime is rapidly increasing in Minnesota, the office of the Attorney General is instead using resources to harass innocent small business owners. Shame on you.
